Tanya Clemens, MSW, RSW
Tanya Clemens is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier’s Master of Social Work program. She has been providing therapy to individuals, couples, families and groups for over ten years. She has worked with children in foster care with the Children’s Aid Society and with children with disabilities and their families in an outpatient treatment centre. Tanya has provided counselling to a wide range of individuals and has most recently focused on assisting women and children living in or leaving abusive relationships. Tanya has been trained in the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Narrative Therapy. Her focus is strength based, culturally sensitive, client focused therapy |
to assist people toward problem resolution. Her areas of strength in clinical practice include assisting clients with depression, anxiety, stress management, grief and transition, parent child conflict, and self development. Tanya also does social work assessments including custody and access assessments, parenting capacity assessments, and assessments of potential foster and group home parents. |
