Meggan Grabiec, M.A.

Meggan Grabiec obtained her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University following a Child and Youth Care diploma and an undergraduate degree. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists. Previously Meggan worked for Chippewa Intermediate and Secondary School in North Bay and The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. At Chippewa, Meggan provided counseling related to learning readiness and supported students dealing with social, emotional and behavioural issues. At the Hospital for Sick Children, Meggan supported the individual

learning, social and emotional needs of children and adolescents who have intractable Epilepsy. She was also involved in assessments, a psycho-educational group and led a social skills group. Meggan specializes in working with youth and adolescents. She has experience working with this client group in a variety of settings such as residential treatment, the public school board, and hospital. Meggan enjoys working with children, youth, adolescents and their families using a cognitive behavioural approach and a solution focused approach.
