Registered Psychotherapist and Behaviour Analyst/Consultant

Kim Trudeau-Craig is a Registered Psychotherapist and Behaviour Analyst/Consultant. She has a Master of Science Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Kaplan University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Queen’s University. Kim Trudeau-Craig is a currently a full time professor and program coordinator for the Behavioural Science Program at St. Lawrence College and has been teaching at the post-secondary level for over 18 years.

Kim has over 20 years of experience working with a variety of clients in a wide range of community settings. In addition to teaching full time at the college, Kim also provides Clinical Supervision in an Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) program for a Regional Autism Service Provider where she provides clinical support to a team of instructor therapists as well as developing individualized behaviour support programs. Kim is a member of the Ontario Association for Behaviour Analysis (ONTABA), the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI), the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts (APBA), the Ontario Association for Developmental Disabilities (OADD) and the Association of Contextual Behavioural Science (ACBS).

Kim’s role as a Registered Psychotherapist for Quinte Assessment and Treatment Group and Quinte Counseling Services is to provide services to children, adolescents and adults for anxiety, depression, trauma, conflict, anger and stress management. She is also able to provide services to couples and families for relationship concerns, parent-child conflict and family conflict. Kim integrates cognitive behavioural, solution focused, behaviour analytic and psychotherapeutic approaches during her work with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. She is also able to provide family mediation, trauma debriefing, risk assessment, and behaviour management consulting and case management.

Kim’s role as a Behaviour Analyst/Consultant is conducting comprehensive functional behaviour assessments and creating positive behavioural support plans for individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours. Kim’s area of expertise is in designing and implementing behaviour reduction plans and teaching functional behaviours to replace interfering behaviours that clients are experiencing/demonstrating. In addition, Kim provides training and ongoing support to the families and staff who are supporting the individual.
