Jennifer Dunford, M.Ed. Clinical Therapist Jennifer Dunford obtained her Master’s degree in Educational Counselling from the University of Ottawa following the completion of two undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Criminology. Jennifer has completed internships at Royal Ottawa Hospital and Crossroads Children Centre. At the Royal Ottawa Hospital, Jennifer worked with offenders who were experiencing mental health issues. At Crossroads a children’s mental health facility, Jennifer was involved in assessments, clinical consultations and counseling with children, parents and couples. She also conducted groups with children on social skills and anxiety. Q schools and their families. Also, Jennifer provides training on addiction, substance use and gambling to teachers and administration within the school board. Jennifer, also conducts therapy with youth who are living in the foster care system. Prior to this, Jennifer worked in a youth drug and alcohol treatment centre. Jennifer has worked with a broad range of clients including children, adolescents and adults. Her clinical experience includes a variety of areas such as: substance use, parenting concerns, anxiety, depression, general mental health, stress management, attachment issues and coping skills. Jennifer enjoys working with individuals, families and groups using a cognitive behavioural approach and a solution focused approach. |
