Jan M. Asendorf, MSW, RSW, LCSW

Jan Asendorf received her BSW and MSW (2003) from McGill University, interning during her studies at the McGill Couple and Family Clinic. She is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers as well as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania and New York.

Jan has worked extensively with individuals (children, adolescents, and adults), couples, and families, addressing issues arising from stress, conflict, miscommunication, trauma, mental health challenges, and life changes. She helps clients to identify strengths and needs and to develop and achieve goals that allow for positive shifts in their lives. Jan is trained in cognitive-behavioural therapy, Multidimensional Family Therapy, and Functional Family Therapy, as well as in trauma-focused CBT. She strives to create an atmosphere of respect, acceptance, and hope that allows clients to gently and honestly explore their concerns and achieve greater understanding and happiness in their lives.
