Barbara V. Stone, BA, CHRP

Human Resource Consultant

Barbara has a Bachelor of Arts Degree and an Advanced Human Resource Management Certificate from the University of Toronto. She holds a Certificate in Personnel and Industrial Relations, and Career & Workforce Planning. Barbara is also a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychologists and Psychiatrists OACCPP, and holds a Canadian Human Resources Professional designation CHRP. Barbara is current in the OD Masters track from NTL and JFK University and has completed Consulting and Human Interaction programs. Other programs at the University of Michigan include Career Planning in Organizations and Strategic HR Planning.

Barbara has more than 25 years in the human resources field, and brings to her clients a unique perspective with her collective experience as a consultant, human resources practitioner and organizational effectiveness specialist. Prior to joining Qxplore Inc., Barbara held a number of senior management positions including Human Resources Manager for InterfaceFLOR Commercial Canada, Franklin Templeton Investment Corporation, Compaq and Digital Computers, Atomic Energy of Canada, Canada Employment & Immigration, and Cara Operations Canada.

Specialization
Barbara has partnered with all levels of management and employee groups to ensure the creation and implementation of people strategies to support business strategies. Her management consulting skills include executive coaching, executive search, business planning and project management. Barbara has designed and developed Succession Planning and identification of High Potential candidates for numerous industries and conducted the training of key managers.

Barbara has extensive experience in team facilitation and dispute resolution for clients in a broad range of industries. Barbara has been heavily involved with cross cultural issues, harassment and discrimination training and investigations, international outsourcing, international compensation surveys, outplacement programs, and call centre effectiveness surveys. She also is an expert Career Planning coach.
